| Abstract: | Кукурудзяний західний жук (Diabrotica virgifera Le Conte) є дуже небезпечним карантинним шкідником кукурудзи. Заражена площа шкідником в Україні значно зросла з 86167,49 га у 2015 році до 144167,75 га у 2023 році. На кінець 2023 року шкідника зареєстровано в шістнадцяти областях України, з найбільшими площами в Миколаївській та Чернівецькій областях. Основними методами боротьби є карантинні, що передбачають виявлення, локалізацію та ліквідацію осередків зараження. |
| Description: | The western corn borer (Diabrotica virgifera Le Conte) is a very dangerous quarantine pest of corn. The area infected by the pest in Ukraine has increased significantly from 86,167.49 ha in 2015 to 144,167.75 ha in 2023. At the end of 2023, the pest was registered in sixteen regions of Ukraine, with the largest areas in Mykolaiv and Chernivtsi regions. The main methods of control are quarantine, which involve the detection, localization and elimination of foci of infection. |
