| Abstract: | Досліджено та проілюстровано особливості морфології листків та квіток, а також їх гісто-логічних елементів, які дозволяють ідентифікувати чебрець звичайний (Thymus vulgaris L.) у складі лікарської рослинної сировини відповідно до монографії Державної фармакопеї України 2.0. «Чебрецю трава». Приведены результаты исследований отличительных особенностей морфологии листьев и цветков, а также их гистологических элементов, которые позволяют идентифицировать тимь-ян обыкновенный (Thymus vulgaris L.) в составе лекарственного растительного сырья в соответ-ствии с требованиями монографии Государственной фармакопеи Украины 2.0. «Тимьяна трава». |
| Description: | The research of the distinctive characteristics of the morphology of flowers and leaves, as well as their histological elements is being carried out. It allows to identify Thymus vulgaris L. in the composition of herbal raw materials in accordance with the requirements of the monograph State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine 2.0 «Thymi herba». The main diagnostic morphological characteristics include: a density, a size and a shape of the lam-ina, a lack of the petiole or its short length; a presence of the homogeneous gray or greenish-gray plant leaf pubescence on both sides of the leaf lamina (unlike T. serpyllum, which has both more or less bare surfaces, but definitely spotted), a holistic edge doesn’t form long trichomes at the base, as T. serpyllum does. The edges of the leaf lamina are wrapped to the bottom surface that is visually the most prominent characteristic of T. vulgaris. At the same time, morphological and histological characteristics of the structure of the generative or-gans cannot be the diagnostic signs of T. vulgaris. All these signs are very similar for almost all plants of the genus Thymus. |
