| dc.description | The issue of terminology is not only a national-historical, but also an international problem of the history of world science, the history of human civilizations, and the search for mutual understanding between people. In addition, the study of the nature of the term as a special type of word enriches and expands our cognitive thesaurus. The object of our analysis is the modern English terminological subsystem of pump engineering, the subject of research is the determinologization of the words of the specified subsystem. The purpose of the work is to study the peculiarities of determinologization. Recently, terms have been actively penetrating the non-professional environment, and this causes determinologization. It is a socially motivated phenomenon of the migration of terms outside their terminological systems. There are several reasons that contributed to the implementation of the process of determinologization of professional lexical units in the sublanguage of pump engineering. On the one hand, a significant part of the vocabulary of the specified sublanguage becomes known outside scientific and technical circles. On the other hand, individual terms, without losing their terminological meaning, move to the sphere of commonly used vocabulary, acquiring figurative meanings. When leaving the terminological field of pump engineering, lexical units acquire an emotional color and are subject to metaphorization. | uk_UA |
| dc.description.abstract | Питання термінології – це не тільки національно-історична, але й інтернаціональна проблема історії світової науки, історії людських цивілізацій і пошуків взаєморозуміння між народами. Окрім того, дослідження природи терміна як особливого типу слова збагачує і розширює наш когнітивний тезаурус. Об’єкт нашого аналізу – сучасна англiйська термінологічна підсистема насособудування, предмет дослiдження – детермінологізація слів зазначеної підсистеми. Метою роботи є вивчення особливостей детермінологізації. Останнім часом терміни активно проникають у непрофесійне середовище, а це зумовлює детермінологізацію. Детермінологізація – соціально мотивоване явище міграції термінів за межі їхніх терміносистем. Існує декілька причин, що сприяли реалізації процесу детермінологізації фахових лексичних одиниць у субмові насособудування. З одного боку, значна частина вокабуляру зазначеної субмови стає відомою поза межами науково-технічних кіл. З другого боку, окремі терміни, не втрачаючи свого термінологічного значення, переходять до сфери загальновживаної лексики, набуваючи переносних значень. При виході із термінологічного поля насособудування лексичні одиниці набувають емоційного забарвлення і підлягають метафоризації. | uk_UA |
