Військові дії, стихійні лиха, епідемії, масовий голод – все це наносить сильний удар, як людям, так і живій природі в цілому. Через аварії, руйнування, викиди шкідливих речовин, різноманітне забруднення відбується знищення та отруєння живих організмів. На планеті є багато людей, яким небайдуже, що відбувається в світі, і які прагнуть допомогти йому у межах своїх можливостей та сил. Для цього створюється громадські організації та об’єднання, що займаються волонтерською діяльністю. Головна цінність цих процесів це те, що будь-яка людина в світі може доєднатися до допомоги: якщо немає можливості допомогти фізично, людина надсилає гроші у фонди та організації, які спрямують ці гроші на добрі справи.
