У статті досліджено основні етапи становлення Сумського національного аграрного університету. Зроблено висновки про те, що перші двадцять років в історії СНАУ стали часом формування тих рис, які визначають унікальне «обличчя» університету. У цей час було розбудовано сучасну матеріально-технічну базу, закладено стійкі академічні традиції, створено умови для подальшого розвитку, результатом якого стало перетворення вишу на одного з лідерів аграрної освіти України.

The article examines the main stages of formation of the Sumy National Agrarian University. It was concluded that the first twenty years in the history of SNAU became the time of formation of those features that define the unique "face" of the university. During this time, a modern material and technical base was built, stable academic traditions were established, conditions were created for further development, the result of which was the transformation of the university into one of the leaders of agricultural education in Ukraine.
