dc.description	The article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of word formation in the modern English terminological subsystem of pump engineering. The active development of science and technology at the current stage creates prerequisites for the constant enrichment of the lexicon of industry terminologies, and also necessitates the emergence of new ways of naming terminological concepts, their systematization and unification. Today, the study of the apparatus of industry terminologies, which are important components of the corresponding literary language, is gaining great importance. The object of our analysis is the modern English terminological subsystem of pump engineering, the subject of research is word formation as one of the ways of forming complex terms of the specified subsystem. Terms formed by compounding make up 25% of the lexicographic source of the sublanguage of pump engineering. The formation of new terms by means of compounding belongs to the least "problematic" methods of term formation, provided that the meaning of all constituent parts of the new term is well known. In the field of pump construction, the word-forming model is N1+N2.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	Стаття присвячена дослідженню феномена словоскладання у сучасній англійській термінологічній підсистемі насособудування. Активний розвиток науки і техніки на сучасному етапі створює передумови постійного збагачення лексики галузевих термінологій, а також зумовлює необхідність у виникненні нових способів найменування термінологічних понять, їх систематизації та уніфікації. Сьогодні великого значення набуває дослідження апарату галузевих термінологій, які є важливими складовими відповідної літературної мови. Об’єкт нашого аналізу – сучасна англiйська термінологічна підсистема насособудування, предмет дослiдження – словоскладання як один із способів утворення складних термінів зазначеної підсистеми. В лексикографічному джерелі субмови насособудування терміни, утворені способом словоскладання становлять 25%. Утворення нових термінів за допомогою словоскладання належить до найменш «проблемних» способів термінотворення за умови, якщо добре відоме значення всіх складових частин нового терміна. У галузі насособудування привалює словотвірна модель – N1+N2.	uk_UA
