dc.description	The qualification work considers the peculiarities of tending operations using the example of Pishchanske Forestry of the Sumy Forestry Branch of the Northern Forestry Office of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Forests” and investigates the trend of changes in areas allocated for thinning over the past years, forest stand composition, and volumes of brushwood harvesting. The object of the study was the process of performing tending operations. As a result of studying the accompanying documentation of plot 37, compartment 17 of the Pishchanske Forestry of the Sumy Forestry Branch of the Northern Forestry Office of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Forests”, where common oak forest cultures were established in 2012, it was established that during the growth period, the forest stand composition, wood mass (brushwood and branches) changed. Conclusions. The application of tending operations is an effective tool for stimulating the growth and development of tree species. Based on the research results in the conditions of the Sumy region (Foreststeppe), it is recommended to carry out thinning operations starting from the age of 3 years with a frequency of 3-5 years. Clearing fellings begin to be carried out from the 11-year-old age of the plantations with the same frequency (3–5 years). Their purpose is to regulate the density of the stands, ensure the necessary composition, uniform location of the main species of trees on the site and form the optimal structure of the future stand. These measures are also aimed at correcting the quantitative ratio of secondary valuable species, such as ash and maple.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	У кваліфікаційній роботі розглянуто питання особливостей рубок догляду на прикладі Піщанського лісництва філії «Сумське лісове господарство» Північного лісового офісу ДП «Ліси України» та досліджено тенденцію змін площ відведених під рубки освітлення протягом останніх років, складу деревостану та обсягів заготівлі хворосту. Об’єктом дослідження був процес виконання рубок догляду. У результаті дослідження супутньої документації ділянки 37 кварталу 17 відділу Піщанського лісництва філії «Сумське лісове господарство» Північного лісового офісу ДП «Ліси України» на якій у 2012 році було закладено лісові культури дуба звичайного встановлено, що за період росту змінився склад деревостану, маса деревини (хворосту та сучків). Висновки. Застосування рубок догляду є ефективним інструментом для стимулювання росту і розвитку деревних порід. За результатами досліджень в умовах Сумської області (Лісостепу) рекомендовано проведення рубок освітлення починаючи із 3–річного віку з періодичністю 3–5 років. Рубки прочищення починають проводити з 11-річного віку насаджень з такою ж періодичністю (3–5 років). Їхня мета полягає в регулюванні густоти деревостанів, забезпеченні необхідного складу, рівномірного розташування дерев головної породи на ділянці та формуванні оптимальної структури майбутнього деревостану. Ці заходи спрямовані також на корекцію кількісного співвідношення другорядних цінних порід, таких як ясен та клен.	uk_UA
