Розглядаються теоретичні основи та методичні прийоми, які дозволяють оцінити рівень загрози вимирання рідкісних видів і на цій основі підвищувати ефективність їх охорони. Проведено аналіз методу оцінки життєздатності популяції (PVA). На основі літературних матеріалів дана характеристика точності прогнозів даного методу. Відзначені його позитивні сторони і недоліки. Рассматриваются теоретические основы и методические приемы, которые позволяют оценить уровень угрозы вымирания редких видов и на этой основе повышать эффективность их охраны. Проведен анализ метода оценки жизнеспособности популяции (PVA). На основе литературных материалов дана характеристика точности прогнозов данного метода. Отмечены его положительные стороны и недостатки.

During the last decades, the biodiversity has been reduced. The decrease in the biodiversity of the plant cover occurs primarily due to an extinction of rare plant species. The article presents some theoretical basis and methodical approaches that allow one to assess the level of threat of rare species extinction and to raise the efficiency of their protection. The estimates for the stability of rare plant population sand a rick of their extinction were obtained studying a) the actual condition of a population in terms of its ontogenetic and vitality structure, b) the dynamics of the number of individuals in a population and c) the long-term registration of a complex of parameters for individuals and populations that determine the specificity of ecologo-phytocenotic features of a habitat. A reliable for the rare species extinction is provided by the last of the approaches mentioned.
