Implementation of information and communication technologies into the process of teaching foreign languages to future agrarians

Abstract

The paper deals with the peculiarities of the use of information and communication technologies in the process of learning a foreign language in agrarian higher education institution. The didactic possibilities of Internet technologies, the expediency of their introduction in foreign language classes are characterized. Possibilities and practical importance of using audio books, video materials, digital technologies, Skype software are highlighted as well. It is noted that the use of information and communication technologies in the process of teaching foreign language to future agrarians ensures the effective formation of foreign language communication competence, facilitates students’ access to authentic educational materials; individualize the educational process according to the needs and capabilities of students; enables continuous feedback of students with the lecturer and quality control of the obtained knowledge. У роботі проаналізовано особливості застосування інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій у процесі вивчення іноземної мови в аграрних закладах вищої освіти. Охарактеризовано дидактичні можливості інтернет-технологій, доцільність їх упровадження на заняттях з іноземної мови. Розглянуто можливості та практичне значення використання аудіокниг, відео матеріалів, цифрових технологій, програмного забезпечення Skype. Наголошується, що використання інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій у процесі навчання іноземної мови майбутнім аграріям забезпечує ефективне формування іншомовної комунікативної компетентності, полегшує доступ студентів до автентичних навчальних матеріалів; індивідуалізує навчальний процес відповідно до потреб та можливостей студентів; дає можливість постійного зворотного зв’язку студентів із викладачем і контролю якості отриманих знань.
