| Abstract: | Технічні засоби організації дорожнього руху (ТЗОДР) почали активно розроблятися та впроваджуватися після появи перших транспортних засобів, якими керували люди. Проте у давні часи, до появи перших ТЗ, організація дорожнього руху існувала, хоч і мала значно спрощений вигляд. Наприклад ще з часів Римської імперії існували дороги з чітко визначеними напрямами руху, встановлювалися кам’яні стовпи, що вказували відстань до міст і ключових об’єктів, перші зародки сучасних кодексів і правил, що обмежували швидкість учасників дорожнього руху на певних ділянках доріг. |
| Description: | Traffic control devices began to be actively developed and implemented following the emergence of the first human-driven vehicles. However, in ancient times, before the advent of the first motor vehicles, traffic control already existed, albeit in a much simpler form. For example, as far back as the Roman Empire, there were roads with clearly defined directions of travel, stone pillars were erected to indicate distances to cities and key landmarks, and the first rudiments of modern codes and rules were established, limiting the speed of road users on certain sections of roads. |
