Abstract:
The monograph raises the issue of waste disposal, as it become a global problem that threatens the future of the planet. More than 2 billion tons of municipal solid waste generated on the planet every year, and this figure is only growing every year. It emphasized that plastic waste poses a particular danger to nature, as it decomposes extremely slowly in a natural way, pollutes the planet and poisons all living things. The paper substantiates the theoretical foundations and analyzes the international experience of countries regarding the problems of utilization of human life items in the twenty-first century. The author considers the environmental and economic issues of waste disposal as a factor in preserving public health; the analysis of waste management abroad (international experience) carried out.

У монографії піднята проблема утилізації сміття, бо вона набула глобальні масштаби та загрожує майбутньому планети. Щороку на планеті утворюється понад 2 млрд. тон твердих побутових відходів, і з кожним роком ця цифра тільки зростає. Наголошено, що особливу небезпеку для природи представляють відходи пластику, оскільки вони вкрай повільно розкладаються природним шляхом, забруднюють планету та отруюють усі живе. В роботі обґрунтовано теоретичні засади, а також проведено аналіз міжнародного досвіду країн щодо проблем утилізації предметів життєдіяльності людства у ХХІ столітті. Розглянуто еколого-економічні питання утилізації відходів як фактор збереження здоров’я населення; здійснено аналіз управління відходами за кордоном (міжнародний досвід).
