The purpose of the article is to analyse the possibilities of using emotional intelligence in teaching French as a foreign language in a university course. The features and specifics of emotional intelligence are considered, the results of scientific research are analysed. The expediency of using models in the educational process is proved, which contributes to the intensification and optimisation of the educational process.

У статті зроблено спробу проаналізувати можливості використання емоційного інтелекту у викладанні французької мови як іноземної на університетському занятті. Розглянуто особливості та специфіку емоційного інтелекту, проаналізовані результати наукових досліджень. Доведено доцільність використання моделей в навчальному процесі, що сприяє інтенсифікації та оптимізації навчального процесу.
