У статті розглянуто проблему актуальності вивчення студентами освітнього (вибіркового) компоненту «Стратегічні комунікації та лідерство». Визначено підходи до проблеми лідерства. Наведено огляд понять «лідерство» та «комунікація». Проаналізовано основні відмінності між комунікацією та спілкуванням. Визначено важливість комунікативного процесу для формування лідерських якостей студентів. Авторами вивчено основні напрямки удосконалення системи розвитку лідерства серед студентської молоді.

The article considers the problem of topicality of students taking up educational (elective) component «Strategic Communications and Leadership». Approaches to the problem of leadership are identified. An overview of the concepts of «leadership» and «communication» is given. The main differences between communication and converse are analyzed. The importance of the communicative process for the formation of leadership qualities of students is determined. The authors study the main directions of improving the system of leadership development among student youth.
