В роботі дана селекційна оцінка наявному в Сумській області поголів’ю мисливських собак породи Лайка. Найчисленнішими є західно-сибірська лайка. Найкращі показники з перевірених племінних тварин показують Лєший і Ая. За такими робочими показниками як сміливість(16,68±1,65%), майстерність атаки(15,68±2,87%), спритність(12,31±0,83%), чуття(4,01±0,72%), голос (8,34±0,83%), найкращі результати показують нащадки племінного пса Лєшого. За показниками сміливості (15,03±1,9%), майстерності атаки (14,01±2,56%) та пошуку (7,34±1,09%) показують нащадки племінної суки Аї.

In the work the selective evaluation of the Husky hunting dogs in Sumy region is given. It is proved that the selective – breeding work in Sumy center is holding on the enough level. The greatest number of the West-Siberian Husky. The best results from the checked breeds show Leshiy and Aia. By such working indicators like courage (16,68±1,65%), flair (4,01±0,72%), voice (8,34±0,83%), the best results show the descendants of the dog Leshiy. By the indicator of courage (15,03±1,9%), skill of attack (14,01±2,56%) and search (7,34±1,09%) show the descendants of the dog Aia.
