У кваліфікаційній роботі досліджено особливості декоративного собаківництва та проведено комплексний аналіз селекційно-племінної роботи у Сумському обласному центрі собаківництва Кінологічної Спілки України (КСУ). У роботі розглянуто сучасний стан та перспективи розвитку декоративних порід собак, охарактеризовано їх біологічні та господарські особливості. Проведено структурний аналіз поголів’я декоративних собак, що знаходяться на обліку в Сумському обласному центрі собаківництва КСУ, встановлено породний склад та визначено домінуючі породи. Досліджено екстер’єрні показники тварин, що дозволило оцінити рівень відповідності стандартам порід. Виконано аналіз генеалогічної структури поголів’я та встановлено основні племінні лінії роль провідних плідників. На основі отриманих результатів розроблено пропозиції щодо вдосконалення селекційно-племінної роботи, спрямовані на підвищення генетичного потенціалу поголів’я та ефективності декоративного собаківництва.

In this qualification thesis, the specific features of decorative dog breeding
were examined, and a comprehensive analysis of selection and breeding work at the
Sumy Regional Kennel Center of the Ukrainian Kennel Union (UKU) was conducted. The study reviews the current state and development prospects of decorative dog breeds and characterizes their biological and management-related traits. A structural analysis of the population of decorative dogs registered at the Sumy Regional Kennel Center of the UKU was carried out, the breed composition was identified, and the dominant breeds were determined. The exterior characteristics of the animals were examined, which made it possible to assess their level of conformity to breed standards. An analysis of the genealogical structure of the population was performed, and the main breeding lines and the role of leading sires were identified. Based on the obtained results, proposals were developed to improve selection and breeding work, aimed at enhancing the genetic potential of the population and increasing the efficiency of decorative dog breeding.
