У статті обгрунтована необхідність та показана можливість реалізації прикладної спрямованості курсу вищої математики при навчанні студентів аграрних університетів на прикладі вивчення основ теорії ймовірностей та елементів математичної статистики і наведені деякі задачі прикладного змісту. В статье обоснована необходимость и показана возможность реализации прикладной направленности курса высшей математики при обучении студентов аграрных университетов на примере изучения основ теории вероятностей и элементов математической статистики и приведены некоторые задачи прикладного содержания.

In the article the necessity and the possibility of realization of applied orientation of higher mathematics for students of agricultural universities on the example of learning the basics of the theory of probability and elements of mathematical statistics and lists some of the tasks applied to the content.
The article proves that the modern specialist of the landowner it is impossible to imagine without this mastery knowledge in the field of mathematical modeling of industrial processes and information technology, without the ability to generalize patterns, to analyze phenomena, to make informed decisions.
It is shown that mathematics was included in agriculture as a source of necessary apparatus for the solution of production problems, and the priority factor in the formation of mathematical training of future farmers is to obtain quality knowledge on probability theory and mathematical statistics.
